OS is a spray dried, pale cream-coloured powder, readily
soluble in cold and warm water. |

Properties |

Jktan
OS imparts a high degree of suppleness and in addition,
it improves the tightness of the grain. It has a strong
bleaching effect when used in its own on chrome
leathers. The good dispersing effect of Jktan OS
results in a deeper and more uniform penetration of the
other retanning agents. It has a slight buffering
action. Jktan OS has a medium strong filling effect.
Jktan OS is equally suitable for use in conventional
vegetable tanning systems. It prevents sludge formation
in vegetable tan liquor and makes the colour of the
leather much brighter, lighter and cleaner. |
